After the successful completion of a new extermination programme code-named 'Aktion Hoss', Rudolf Höss was celebrated at Solahütte, an SS outpost near Auschwitz, by senior Nazi figures.

After successfully organising a new extermination programme at Auschwitz codenamed 'Aktion Höss' - the extermination of more than 400,000 Hungarian Jews - Höss was celebrated at Solahütte, an SS outpost near Auschwitz, by senior Nazi figures, before he returned to Berlin to continue his role as chief of Amtsgruppe D1.
